As well as the essential Christmas gifts, the Council is working closely with town councils to promote a packed calendar of Christmas events, from markets and light switch-ons to family-friendly entertainment.

Cllr John Birch, Executive Member for Economic Development at South Hams District Council, said: “Christmas is a special time for our communities, and our high streets play a vital role in bringing people together.
